Fertilization/Turf Grass
Lawncare 1 (Early Spring) This application is applied in the early spring, which consists of fertilizer and crab grass germination preventative.
Lawncare 2 (Late Spring) This application is applied in the late spring, which consists of fertilizer and broadleaf control.
Lawncare 3 (Summer) This application is applied in the early summer, which consists of fertilizer and grub control.
Lawncare 4 (Late Summer) This application is applied in the late summer to help maintain the nutrients in the turf.
Lawncare 5 (Fall) This application is applied in the early fall which consists of fertilizer and broadleaf control. This will help to get rid of annoying weeds such as clover and dandelions.
Lawncare 6 (Late Fall) This application is applied in the late fall which consists of fertilizer and lime. This will help store nutrients in the lawn through the winter and correct the Ph in the soil.

Weed Control: This product is applied to broadleaf weeds such as clover and dandelions.
Crabgrass Control: This application is applied to the lawns with crabgrass.
Fungus & Disease Control: This application is applied to the lawn, which is affected by disease or fungus.
Grub Control: This application is applied to the lawn when grubs have emerged and damaged turf.
Lime: This application is usually applied in the late fall to correct the PH in the soil.
Core Aeration: We use specialized equipment to alleviate soil compaction, reduce thatch build up and improve air movement and water penetration into the root zone at the turf creating a stronger root system and superior looking turf.
Slice Seeding: A machine is used to slice grooves into the soil and plant grass seed in the grooves. This method is used to fill in a thin lawn or start a new one.
Tick Control:
Ticks that carry the sometimes deadly and debilitating Lyme disease are not only a problem on the East End of Long Island.Ticks are also prevalent in our own backyards throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk county.Most think that only deer carry ticks with with Lyme Disease, but more commonly the tick carriers are our household pets,squirrels,mice,chipmucks and even some birds.
To avoid ticks this season contact THE TURF GUY.We have a program that consist of 5 to 6 applications per season (in 4 to 6 week intervals). We spray your property in order to eliminate ticks in all the treated areas.Please call us to schedule a free estimate.
Poison Ivy Control
This consists of 3 applications to make sure that the poison ivy has been eliminated for the season.

Tick Spraying: This application is applied throughout the season to overcome the nuisance of insects such as ticks, fleas, and mosquitoes.
Tick Tubes: A non-spray application is used to target lyme disease carrying ticks.
Ant Control: This application is used to control ants on the outside perimeter of the house.
Spring and Fall Ornamental Root Feeding: These two applications help replenish nutrients and improve the soil’s productivity by aerating the soil around your trees and shrubs and increasing the microbial activity within the soil.
Winter Weather Shield: This is applied to all evergreens and flowering plants that maintain their leaves throughout the winter months. This product forms a protective coating over the shrub foliage so it does not dry out and cause serious damage.
Summer and Late Summer Spray: These two sprays are used in conjunction with each other to increase the overall vitality of your landscape. This is the time of year when insect populations are at their highest.
Spring and Fall Dormant Oil: These applications are applied to the bark and leaf surface of the plant. Essential for all types of shrubs and ornamentals.
